Oleg Aksyutin, Member of the Management Committee, Head of Department of Gazprom, and Dusan Bajatovic, Director General of Srbijagas, signed today in Belgrade an Agreement for scientific & technical cooperation and partnership.
The Agreement provides for developing the scientific & technical cooperation in such sectors as gas transportation, underground storage and sales, energy efficiency, energy saving, and alternative energy use, as well as in the field of compressed and liquefied natural gas. In addition, the companies will interact in the process safety and environmental protection areas.
With a view to implement the accords incorporated in the Agreement, the parties will set up a Coordination Council and permanent working groups.
State-owned Srbijagas is focused on gas transportation, storage and distribution in Serbia.
On October 28, 2015, Gazprom and Srbijagas signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which reflects the parties’ intent to consider the ways of promoting the cooperation in the areas of underground gas storage, natural gas vehicles, and small-scale LNG, including as part of scientific & technical projects.
